The artwork is related to the Resistance and the defence of freedom, focusing on the challenges of each current time and how to orient oneself, guided by an ethical compass. It was situated on the mountain where, during World War II, partisan Resistance – the struggle for freedom – took place, and where people now spend their free time, mainly riding powerful motorcycles along the hairpin bends.

The work has been developed over three years, with various stages, started from a deepening knowledge of geographical, historical and social context, and an affective weaving of relationships, the process led to the creation of the engraving (characterised by a no linear narration), a video (a sort of acoustic photography, a heterochrony, according with Michel Foucault) and a sound installation in the woods.

The audio of the third act – created by blending breath, footsteps, and heartbeat sounds – was surrounded to evoke anxiety in the visitors, who were immersed in an intimate journey of confrontation with history, current events, nature, and themselves.
